Automotive bottom powder coating
Automotive powder coating are divided into many categories, including automotive engine powder coating, automotive interior powder coating, and MST® automotive bottom powder coating. Today we introduce the automotive bottom powder coating produced by MILESTONE
Car bottom decorations generally do not directly contact sunlight, and these bottom decorations have different performance requirements for powder coatings under different conditions of use.
MST® automotive bottom powder coating need to have good heat resistance and corrosion resistance, and automotive bottom powder coating for shock absorption equipment need to have good toughness and bending resistance.
Epoxy system and polyurethane system are mainly used for automobile bottom powder coating. The technical requirements of automotive bottom powder coating are as follows:
Hardness: 2 H
Humidity binding force 240h Adhesion force： ≥2
Milk methyl ethyl ketone wipe type: The coating does not soften or fall off.
Water resistance 240h/60℃: no blistering, softening or shedding
Heat resistance 16h: Unilateral corrosion outside the marking ≤ 0.8mm
Humidity resistance 24h: Unilateral corrosion outside the marking ≤ 0.8mm
CASS salt spray 240h: Unilateral corrosion width ≤ 3mm
Humidity and heat resistance ≥ 1000 h: no blistering, slight loss of gloss
Resistance to crushed stone impact/level: ≥4
