Application of MST® Cationic Red XGRL:
A heterocyclic mono-azo cationic dye. It has good light fastness, washing fastness and better lifting power. Used for dyeing and printing of acrylic fiber and its blends.
Influencing factors of MST® Cationic Red XGRL staining
1. The effect of Cationic Red XGRL dyeing has a great affinity for acrylic fiber. It is easy to produce uneven dyeing due to fast absorption and slow diffusion during dyeing. Once uneven dyeing occurs, it is difficult to correct it by extending the dyeing time. Therefore, the type of acrylic fiber has a great influence on the dyeing rate;
2. The influence of temperature on the dyeing of Cationic Red XGRL: Temperature is an important factor to control level dyeing. When acrylic fibers are dyed with cationic dyes, they are rarely dyed below 75°C. When the dyeing temperature reaches the glass transition temperature of the fiber (75-85°C), the dye uptake rate increases rapidly. Therefore, when the dyeing temperature reaches the glass transition temperature of the fiber, the temperature should be raised slowly, generally 1°C every 2 to 4 minutes. It can also be kept at 85～90℃for dyeing for a period of time, and then continue to heat up to boiling.
