The difference between MST® Chemcial hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and MC in roughly the same application field:

1)Chemcial hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is easily soluble in cold water, and it will be difficult to dissolve in hot water. The gelation temperature of Chemcial hydroxypropyl methylcellulose in hot water is significantly higher than that of MC; the dissolution in cold water is also greatly improved compared to MC.

2) The viscosity of Chemcial hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is related to its molecular weight, and the higher the molecular weight, the higher the viscosity. Temperature also affects the viscosity of Chemcial hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. As the temperature increases, the viscosity decreases. But the effect of high temperature on the viscosity of chemcial hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is lower than that of MC. The solution is stable when stored at room temperature.
