Matters needing attention in spraying process of MST® crackle powder coating.

 

①In the process of crack powder coating construction, the powder coating sprayed on the surface of metal workpiece should be uniform, and the thickness of the coating should be uniform and appropriate. If the coating thickness is too thick, the crack boundary will be blurred; if the coating thickness is too thin, the defects such as bottom exposure and shrinkage cavity will easily appear;

 

②It is suggested that the spraying sequence should be from high to low. Spray the secondary surface first, and then spray the main surface. It is better to finish spraying at one time. Some dead corners need to be repainted locally, which will make the original cracks disappear;

 

③In order to achieve the best spraying effect, before the construction, the material is sieved with a slightly larger screen, and the process parameters such as the air pressure of the powder, atomization pressure, the distance between the nozzle and the workpiece, and the moving out speed of the spray gun are adjusted by the powder supply device of the fluidized bed system to achieve the best spraying effect.

 

④In the application of powder coatings with cracks, it is necessary to prevent them from polluting other types of coatings. If there are conditions, it is better to use two sets of equipment separately.
